uAvionix recently announced an updated product line offering for Uncrewed Aircraft System (UAS) Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) Command and Control (C2).
muLTElink™, headlines the the SkyLine™ C2 management platform ecosystem for uAvionix. muLTElink provides an industry-first C2 combination of LTE technology with broadcast radio frequency (RF) radios which permit dynamic selection of the best radio link at any given moment between LTE, unlicensed Industrial, Scientific, & Medical (ISM) frequencies, or aviation protected C Band in a single low-SWaP avionic device.
The self-healing UAS C2 network spans across LTE, ISM (902-928 MHz), and C-Band (5030-5091 MHz) to help ensure a reliable datalink during operations over broad terrain and altitude ranges. The network leverages link diversity (multiple radio frequencies) and path diversity (multiple radios) to prevent lost link situations by enabling seamless roaming across radio types.
